Setup
How to install, step by step
The “Add to Slack” button lives inside your Shiftctl account, so here’s exactly where to find it once you’ve signed in.
Create a Shiftctl account (or sign in)
Sign up at shiftctl.com/signup with just your email, no credit card required. Every new account starts a 14-day free trial with full access, which includes the Slack integration.
Open Slack settings in the sidebar
After signing in, click Integrations → Slack in the left sidebar, or go directly to shiftctl.com/settings/slack. Note: only the team owner (the account that created the team) sees the Integrations section and can install the app.
Click "Add to Slack" and authorize
Press the Install Shiftctl Slack App button at the top of that page. You’ll be taken to Slack’s authorization screen, where you choose your workspace and click Allow. The buttons on this page do the same thing: if you’re not signed in yet, you’ll be asked to sign in first and then continue straight to Slack.
Link team members
Shiftctl automatically links teammates whose Slack and Shiftctl email addresses match. If someone’s emails differ, they can generate a link code on the same settings page and run /link CODE in Slack.
